GLAMPING with Bonaparte USA is the ‘green’ way to camp in this new millenia. Consciously ‘green’ and on wheels, Bonaparte’s stylish GlampTainer uses a recycled shipping container to form its structural base. At 40 ft long, this innovative RV is very spacious. Steel gauge framing is installed to section the interior into kitchen, bath, and bed. Your living quarters are appointed with multiple features for comfort and convenience — shower, vanity, commode, dishwasher, refrigerator, queen sized beds. Approximately 12 tons, the GlampTainier is perfect to be hitched and pulled as a third wheel. Whether you’re camping, hiking, or touring the country — coming back to your GlampTainer at the end of the day is the best way to relax and refresh. Which Containers Are You Going To Use? We can customize a container to fit your needs. Typically we use 40 foot or 20 foot containers.

One tripper container – what does that mean?  All containers are made overseas – there are only two manufactures of these containers – One trippers that they made one trip over the ocean.

HC – or regular  – HC is a 9foot container – and 8 feet tall. – We always use the HC containers.

What is a HC  – High Cubed.

What can pull a Container  – Ram 2500  F450

Our containers are licensed as a RV – we are licensed as a recreational RV manufacturer. And we build to Florida Miami Dade Standards codes. And we work with Universal Standards on all our units.

What are the construction materials that are used in your build?

  • Light gauge steel framing through out the unit
  • Close cell foam insulation
  • 9000 BTU Mini Splits – two for a 40 foot container.
  • Instant water heater
  • Solar is available – upon request.

How much does it cost to have a container delivered

  • This is a pass-through cost – we can arrange for a delivery, and this is straight pass through cost to the client.

How long does it take for a container to be built?

  • Depending on the complexity of the build and the number of cuts required. General lead time is 4-6 weeks from the day of the deposit.

What is the lifespan of a container home?

  • Generally speaking, though, a home built from used shipping containers should last about 15 years without any major maintenance, and one built using new containers should last about 25 years. By using an effective form of external cladding, you can extend your home’s lifespan by several decades.

Can I have a Glamptainer on my property ?

  • A couple of things you need to do first – Before buying – you need to check with your local governing office.

What type of Warranties on the glamptainers

  • one year on the unit – normal wear and tear
  • All the appliances come with all their warranties.

Custom design

  • we can do this but you will need to pay for this up front – planning, and approval process and the engineering.

Do you provide Architectural Services?

Can we provide a container that is partially completed?

  • Yes we do offer a foundation model – This is build up to the framing of the unit.
